I’ve learned a lot over the years, making websites and growing beards. I’ve accumulated an arsenal of tools and services I use to maintain my websites, and I’ve made many friends. This page is a collection of services and products I personally use and recommend to the public.
Pill Pack – Vitamin & Prescription Meds Shipped to Your Door
Pill Pack is one of the more useful tech startups I’ve discovered, because it makes taking your daily vitamins and medication really easy. You sign up, fill prescriptions, and then they send you a box of meds every 2 weeks. Your daily meds come in pre-packaged squares like the one in the image. Simply rip it open and take your pills.
They also have an auto-subscribe option, where they refill your meds automatically, making sure you’re never out.
This also works with over-the-counter vitamins, like our very good beard vitamin. Consistency is essential to finding success with beard growth vitamins. If you miss a day, it could set you back. Using a subscription service like Pill Pack will ensure you never forget to take your vitamins.
Pill Pack has given growabeardnow.com viewers a special discount. Sign-up today, and get your first month free (a $20 value). Use the promo code 1FREE when checking out to get this deal.
Vitabeard has been so good to us here at growabeardnow.com over the years that of course I had to add them here. They’ve achieved amazing success as the premiere beard vitamin, with hundreds of positive reviews on amazon and thousands of satisfied, fully-bearded customers.
Web Hosting & Website Creation
Aside from beard health, another thing I know lots about is website design, hosting, creation, and marketing. I know many of my visitors are aspiring web publishers themselves, so I’ll share some of the tools, tips, and tricks I use to power my various websites.
First and foremost, I use the content management system WordPress to power my websites. It is easy to use and install, and takes about 5 minutes to set up. Also, it’s completely free. If you’re not technical at all, simply contact your web host. They will help you install it.
For those new to blogging, WordPress is basically the “engine” of your website. You use WordPress to create your posts and engineer website functionality. What’s more, it’s completely free. Once you find a web host, have them install WordPress for you.
There are a number of great web hosts out there, but the best one for WordPress websites is Bluehost. I have spent hours on the phone with their support staff–they really taught me a lot, for free. Set up an account with them, and they can help you install WordPress, purchase a domain name, and get started with your new website.
I use WP Maintainer to make sure that the health of my websites are monitored. They backup my websites, making sure that I won’t lose any data in case something catastrophic happens. They also update any scripts or software that my websites run on, such as PHP versiosn or PHP accelerators, which all comes together to produce a faster, more secure website.
Since I want to spend my time actually creating websites, I use WP Maintainer to just take care of all the technical back-end stuff. It gives me great peace of mind.
Genesis is one of the highest rated WordPress frameworks. It’s constantly updated, can produce websites with unlimited looks and styles, and it loads very quickly. My biggest business regret is that I did not start with Genesis sooner. After your website is up and running, install this theme to get the most out of WordPress.
For those new to blogging, a “theme” is the thing that gives your website style. It’s what people see when they visit your site. The Genesis framework gives you access to many themes, and optimizes them in such a way that they work well with WordPress and your web host, loading quickly and performing well.
